Giacomo Rizzolatti
Giacomo Rizzolatti , born the April 28th 1937 with Kiev - is of Italian nationality. He is professor of physiology at the university of Parma, Italy. He is in the beginning many discoveries in intégrative neuroscience. He is elected associated foreigner with the institute with France, with the Academy of Science.
Major discoveries
One owes him of the observations very innovating on the cerebral activity in the monkey, showing how, in this animal, the mental image of a movement to be carried out could be built by imitation of the experimenter - what makes reconsider the concept of Empathie had with the neurons mirrors .
