Ghirshman novel

Romance Ghirshman , born with Kharkov the October 3rd 1895 and dead the September 5th 1979, is a archeologist, explorer and historian French of Ukrainian origin .

Biography

Ghirshman is established with Paris in 1917 in order to study the old archeology and languages. It was especially interested by the archaeological ruins of the Iran and particularly Teppe Gian , Teppe Sialk , Bagram in Afghanistan, Bishapur in the Fars, and Suse.

Its studies on Chogha Zanbil were printed in 4 volumes. It also directed teams of excavations to Iwan-i Karkheh and the platforms Parthes of Masjed Soleiman, close to Izeh, with the Khuzestan.

With more than 300 publications and 20 books, Ghirshman is one of the most prolific experts and most respected on the subject of old Iran. Some of its work on Suse yet were not published, but were used for other archeologists as Henri Gashe in the studies in Iran which followed during the years 1960 and 1970.
