Ghibli museum

Is a commercial museum devoted to the achievements of the Studio Ghibli. It is located at the Japan, on the ground of the national park of Inokashira with Mitaka in the suburbs of Tokyo. It opened in 2001.

Exposures

The Ghibli museum proposes to the visitors three exposures, including two permanent and temporary.

Permanent exposures

The first exposure is devoted to the animated manufacture of a drawing. Through a succession of windows and tables, different technical from animation, active figurines lit using a Stroboscope with the explanation of the Parallaxe are presented. A passage is followed from there to the cinema Saturn, in which six are projected short films:

The second exposure shows to the visitors the workshop work of an organizer. Three rooms are followed, approaching the phase of drawings, production and filming. Y are reproduced on the desks, sketch, paintings, notes in Japanese… putting in environment.

Temporary exhibitions

This exposure is devoted only to one film, a creator or a studio of animation, and changes subject each year. Sketches, decorations and reproductions are presented there. The tackled subjects are the following:
