Ghérasim Luca

Ghérasim Luca (or Gherashim Luca) (July 23rd, 1913 Bucharest - February 9th, 1994, Paris) is a Rumanian poet and a theorist of the Surréalisme.
Ghérasim Luca is born in Romania in a Jewish medium Ashkénaze, like his/her friend Paul Celan. It takes share with the foundation then with the activity of the Rumanian surrealist group, carried out by Tzara, Fondane, Brâncuşi, Brauner.
In Romania, before the end of the war, it publishes its proclamation non-œdipien, lost to date.
From 1952, it settles definitively in Paris where it lives poorly in Montmartre, street Joseph de Maistre.
He speaks the Yiddish, Rumanian, French and German and becomes a recognized surrealist French-speaking poet, whose performances do not leave anybody indifferent.
His/her friend and accessory Jacques Hérold, painter, placards on the walls of Paris, little before May 1968, a list of tables imagined for him by André Breton and of the poems of Luca.
From 1973, the philosophers Gilles Deleuze and Felix Guattari pay homage to him. Deleuze quotes it in Alphabetical the (Parnet), speaks about it like " larger French poet vivant".
Ghérasim Luca reads itself its poems, plays with the syntactic structures, made bégayer the language, based primarily on controlled word games and stammerings, by sequences and jerks. There is in its work since the beginning a true obsession of died in all its forms.
Faithful, André Velter devotes to him, of alive sound, several articles with the Monde of the Books and records two of its recitals for France Culture .
At the beginning of 1994, it receives an opinion of expulsion of its apartment, officially for reasons of hygiene. February 9th, it commits suicide while jumping in the Seine.
His/her friend the photographer Gilles Ehrmann paid homage with to him the House of eyes (1994).
He had spent 40 years to France without papers and lived with the painter Micheline Catti.
Its fertile influence of sound living of the poet like Serge Pey, Jean-Pierre Verheggen, Joel Hubaut, Olivier Cadiot or Julien Blaine and does not cease growing as the recent adaptations to its work to the theater and the many studies testify some which appear on him.
