Gevrey-Chambertin

Gevrey-Chambertin is a common French wine, located at 15 km to the south of Dijon of the department of the Coast-with Or of the area Burgundy.

This tourist and wine village located on the Route of the Great wines in the Côtes of Nights enjoys a world reputation of prestige thanks to its wines of Burgundy of great wine of which most famous is the Chambertin.

The vineyard of Gevrey-Chambertin on the Route of the Great wines in the Côte of Nights is one of most prestigious Vignoble of Burgundy and even of the vineyard French and world with 310 hectares of Cépage black Pinot vinified out of red wine. The vineyard of Gevrey-Chambertin produced with him only 8 of the 33 great wines Burgundian AOC:

  • Chambertin 12,9 ha, Chambertin-Close-with-Bèze 15,4 ha, Vault-Chambertin 5,5 ha, Charms-Chambertin and Mazoyères-Chambertin 30,8 ha, Mazis-Chambertin 9,1 ha, Morello cherries-Chambertin 2,7 ha, Latricières-Chambertin 7,3 ha, Ruchottes-Chambertin 3,3 ha.

The Vignoble of Chambertin also profits from many climates profiting from name Gevrey-Chambertin First vintage and from the communal Appellation Gevrey Chambertin

The wines of Gevrey-Chambertin are wines of long guard (10 to 20 years and more for the exceptions) very coloured, powerful, with the intense flavors and savors evoking amongst other things the blackcurrant, Cerise, Musc, Réglisse…
