Gertrudis Gómez de Avellaneda (Puerto Príncipe, 1814 - Madrid, 1873) was a cuban woman of letters of the 19th century. Great figure of the cuban romanticism , it passed the majority of its life in Spain. In addition to several editions of its poetries each increased time, one owes him of many novels as well as plays.
