Gerry Goffin

Gerry Goffin is an American lyric writer born on February 11th, 1939 with Brooklyn, New York. It is especially known for its association with the compositrice Carole King which it married in 1959. Together, they wrote a series of tubes for The Shirelles, The Crystals, The Drifters, The Righteous Brothers, Aretha Franklin, etc most known is undoubtedly The Loco-Motion interpreted by their baby-sitter Little Eva in 1962.

Goffin and King divorced in 1967. They will continue nevertheless to collaborate regularly. Gerry Goffin also worked with other type-setters for The Everly Brothers, The Hollies or Whitney Houston, inter alia.
