German working party

The Parti working German ( Deutsche Arbeiterpartei , DAP) is at the origin of the Parti national-Socialist, it (NSDAP).

The DAP is created the January 5th 1919 by the metal worker Anton Drexler and Michael Lotter. The sports correspondent Karl Harrer will join it on March 24th 1919: he will be the first political adversary of Adolf Hitler.

When Adolf Hitler joined it in September 1919 (the first visits dated September 12th. Hitler is sent there by its superiors at ends of police surveillance), the DAP would count only twenty-five members, of which six only take part in the debates and the conferences. Hitler will claim thereafter to have been the 7th member of the party. An allegation refuted by the number of its chart of party.

Speaker except par, Adolf Hitler is very quickly note: he becomes, in January 1920, chief of the Propagande.

The Program in 25 points

The February 24th 1920, takes place with the brewery Hofbräuhaus with Munich the first great meeting of the party. In front of nearly 2000 people according to its dires, Hitler presents a program inspired by the first two ideologists of the party, the playwright Dietrich Eckart and the engineer Gottfried Feder. This program in twenty-five points associates nationalist claims and socialist ideas impregnated of doctrines racist pangermanists, and anti-semites.

Continuing its change, the DAP is renamed Parti national-Socialist the German workers (NSDAP) the August 8th 1920. After having drawn aside Drexler, Hitler takes the head of it the July 29th 1921.

The same year, it works out the Drapeau red and white containing a black Croix-gammée. The flag is adopted and becomes the emblem of the party.
