German Henri Delauze

German Henri Delauze , born on September 17th 1929 with Cairanne (Vaucluse), is the founder of the company Comex.

After ten years of voyages and large building sites of Public works with the four corners of the world, it founds the COMEX in November 1961. Its passion of the technological challenge, associated with its personal engagement, allowed the creation of a Industrie new and carrying future. It defines the field and the objectives of them: the Engineering and the underwater world.

Very quickly, Comex occupies a position of leader on the international market of the Pétrole Offshore. It becomes the first world company of engineering, technology and human interventions or underwater ized Robot.

This result could be obtained thanks to the permanent and harmonious alliance of two cultures in the Company:

  • the innovation and the performance of point, translated in its research programs and development and its actions of diversification
  • a reputation of safety, quality and professionalism, supported on a rigorous financial management.

Since 1984, the industry of the offshore oil rig parapétrolier evolves/moves in a context where the contractual competition and risks become dangerous for the Group. Comex S.A. proceeds, running 1992, with a Recapitalisation of sound Bilan. The oil subsidiary company, Comex Services, are yielded to the Group Stolt Tankers & Terminals.

Henri G. Delauze remains the majority shareholder of Comex whose it keeps the presidency. He devotes himself to the development of the subsidiary companies remained within the group and born from the policy of diversification undertaken of 1985 with 1990. For this period, the Group extended the field of its interventions to robotics, with the space, the underwater leisures then with the plant maintenance complexes in the field of industry Nucléaire (Cybernetix). In June 1997, the Cybernetix subsidiary company was introduced on the Second market, Comex remains the principal shareholder about it.

At the beginning of 2007, Henri Germain Delauze offers five submarines to the Cité of the Sea of Cherbourg, where a didactic course on the discoveries of the industrialist is envisaged. These submarines are:

  • REMORA 600 (1988)
  • MOANA III (1976)
  • GLOBULE (1974)
  • MOB 1000
