Gerberoy

Gerberoy , village classified among the most beautiful villages of France, is a common French, located in the department of the Oise and the area Picardy. Its inhabitants is called Gerboréens.

Geography

Gerberoy is a village of Oise Norman, located on a hillock near the Pays of Bray, close to Songeons in Oise.

History

  • In -57, construction by the Romans of a Oppidum on the Mound of Gerberoy
  • In 885 Foulques, first lord of Gerberoy, vassal of the count of Beauvais builds the first strong Château stone, to replace a castle-extremely out of wooden.
