Gerard Sebaoun

Gerard Sebaoun is a French Politician born with Algiers the November 28th 1950.

Biography

Born with Algiers, it grew with Paris where it followed studies of medicine with to the key a double speciality in Cardiologie and in Occupational medicine. He is married and has three children. He lives Franconville since 1994.

Left sympathizers since always, it joined the section of Franconville Socialist party in 1995 after the presidential campaign of Lionel Jospin. This same year, it takes part as militant in his first municipal countryside whose list of left is carried out by Jacqueline Ferret. With the first tower the list adds up 28,63% of the votes cast and is qualified for the second turn like all the lists in string. With the second tower the list carried out by Jacqueline Ferret adds up 32,13% of the votes cast (behind the list of right-hand side and in front of the various lists right-hand side and National front).

In 2001 it leads to Franconville the list of the left " unie" with the municipal election which is beaten by that of the Député of the Val-d'Oise and outgoing Maire Francis Delattre (UMP then UDF - DLL). In 2004, it is elected General adviser Val-d'Oise (Canton of Franconville) while beating leaving it Rene di Piazza (UMP) following a campaign carried out with the Socialistes franconvillois. The mobilization and the national push helping, the left carried it for the first time in this canton since 1983. It added up 30,29% of the votes cast with the first tower vis-a-vis six candidates (second behind the candidate UMP) and 51,06% with the second turn.

In 2006, within the framework of a national movement of support for the children without papers whose parents are threatened of expulsion by the policy of the Minister of Interior Department of the time Nicolas Sarkozy, it decides to sponsor a Chinese family and helps the Réseau education without borders (RESF).

In 2007 he is candidate with the Députation in the 4 {{E}} district of the Val-d'Oise (Eaubonne, Ermont, Franconville, Montlignon, Saint-Leu-the-Forest and Saint-Price) at the time of the legislative elections (10 and June 17th 2007) with for substitute François Balageas, General adviser (canton of Eaubonne) and Maire of Eaubonne, which is him also member of the Socialist party. With the first turn it adds up 24,09% of the votes cast (behind the candidate of the UMP, Claude Bodin). With the second turn it east demolishes with a score of 45,06%. The September 26th it is indicated " first of the socialistes" for the municipal election of 2008 in Franconville and should again face the list carried out by Francis Delattre if its candidature is validated by the national convention of ratification of the Socialist party the December 15th.
