Gerard Rondo

Author of many books whose Chronic of a portraitist - (Threshold 2006) - Except Framework (edition NMR 2005) the Phantoms of the Way of the Ladies (Threshold 2003), Gerard Rondeau was elected better artist plastics technician of the year at the time of the ceremony of the Crystal balls 2007.

Rondo explores the slides of the museums during twenty years, it chronic the life in Sarajevo during the seat, it draws up a portrait of Morocco conremporain in a brilliance dialogs beyond time with the painting and the drawings of Delacroix; during fifteen years, it accompanies the missions by Médecind of the World in the whole world, Large portraitist working regularly for “Le Monde” during more than twenty years, it joins together a very large collection of portraits of painters and contemporary writers,

During long years, Rondeau accompanies the painter Paul Rebeyrolle, it traverses with the novelist Yves Gibeau the battle fields of the First World War, it visits with the Ysaÿe Quartet the large scenes of the world, it makes an inventory with the writer Bernard Frank of the streets of his life.

Rondo travels in a world in black and white, it takes ways without end, plays with the words, the plays of shade and silences, it assembles stories and restores worlds in suffering.

About thirty books, on the Benign one, cathedrals of France, Baltic capitals, the Tour de France… Rondo is a rare and singular photographer. Its books and its exposures resemble diaries, with novels.
