Gerard Pélisson is known to have been the cofounder, with Paul Dubrule, of the group Accor, first hotel group European (ensigns Novotel, Ibis, etc).Born on February 9th, 1932 in Lyon (France), engineer of the central School of arts and manufactures of Paris and holder of Master off Sciences (Industrial Management) of the Massachusetts Institute off Technology (the USA). Gerard Pélisson is cofounder and copresident of the hotel chain Novotel in 1963 with Paul Dubrule, copresident of the Group Novotel SIEH between 1971 and 1983, then cofounder and copresident of Accor of 1983 to 1997. Gerard Pélisson is or was also President of the CIAN (the Council of the French investors in Africa), President of the UFE (Union of the French from abroad), President of the Institute Paul Bocuse, cofounder and Vice-Président of World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) and President of the National college of business of Lyon (1990-1996). Gerard Pélisson is currently President of the Board of trustees of Accor.
