Gerard Oury (of his true name Max-Gerard Houry Tannenbaum ), born the April 29th 1919 with Paris, deceased the July 20th 2006 with Saint-Tropez (France) is a Réalisateur of Cinéma, a Acteur and a Scénariste French. As a realizer, his greater successes are the Nitwit and the Great Ramble .

Biography

Wire of violonist of a Jewish and Russian origin, Serge Tannenbaum, and of Marcelle Houry, art critic journalist to Paris-Evening , residing street of the Tower, to Paris, it leads a schooling without history to the Lycée Janson-with-Sailly. No the remake for the Nitwit

In full Cannes-native madness 2005, a rumor on a project of remake of the Corniaud ran: Benoit Poelvoorde and Jamel Debbouze had given their agreement to turn in film and respectively to take again the roles of Bourvil and Louis de Funès. Dominique de Villepin paid homage to the realizer, by greeting at the same time " the actor who it was, the marvellous scenario writer, the friend. I lose a friend and France loses one of its larger scenario writers, a great figure of the cinema français" , declared the Prime Minister. Jacques Chirac greeted a " to him; Master of the laughter and good the humeur" which was also " a formidable creator of mythes" . Donnedieu de Vabres paid homage to a " Master of the rire" . " In the Pantheon of the popular cinema of high-quality, (Gerard Oury) figure in first place" , had affirmed little before its predecessor with the ministry for the Culture, Jack Lang. They all were to pay there a last homage to him and the entry of the cemetery was black of world. The realizer was buried with the cemetery of Montparnasse in Paris in the family vault, under a radiant sun with the sound of the music of Rabbi Jacob .
