Gerard Lorgeoux

Gerard Lorgeoux is a Politician French, born the August 21st 1943 with Plumelin (Morbihan).

He is member of the Union for a popular movement.

Biography

Printer established with Locminé, Gerard Lorgeoux entered the political life in 1992 while being elected General adviser in the Canton of Locminé. Re-elected in 1998 with the departmental assembled , he becomes then about it vice-president, station which he always occupies; following the cantonal elections of 2004, he is elected 5th vice-president in charge of economic development.

In 1995, it becomes mayor of Locminé. He is re-elected with the head of his commune in 2001. He however had to resign of this station following the legislative elections of 2007 because of the law on the office plurality of the mandates. He was replaced by Gregoire Super, previously 2nd assistant, the July 9th 2007.

The June 16th 2002, it is elected for the first time appointed UMP of the Third district of Morbihan by beating Jean-Pierre Roch, the socialist mayor of Pontivy, with 56,62% of the votes to the second turn. During the 12th legislature, it sits on the benches of the group UMP.

He was re-elected appointed the June 17th 2007, for XIIIe legislature (2007 - 2012), by again beating Jean-Pierre Roch (PS), this time with 53,05% of the votes to the second turn. He sits in the group UMP. He belongs to the commission of the economic affairs.
