Gerard Lord
Gerard Lord is a man of radio, author and scenario writer (1927 - 1977), born with Paris but originating in Cessenon-sur-Orb (Herault).
Born the March 3rd 1927, it begins in the life as inspector from the taxes, while realizing at its lost hours of the radio programs and by writing articles in reviews of cinema. It creates in the Sixties, the company “ Pilote Productions” which produces Scopitone S (ancestor of the video clip which passed on a kind of juke-box equipped with a color screen), of Charles Aznavour, Sheila, Henri Salvador and others France Gall… It often appears in films of Claude Lelouch (which belonged to the realizers of scopitones), in particular the happy new year and the Adventure it is the adventure and it lends its voice (and its Antoine son who plays the part of the son of Maurice Trintignant) in a man and a woman .
After having coanimé of the hundreds of radio programs with Jean Yanne on RTL and Europe 1, it writes in 1972 the scenario of Everyone it is beautiful, everyone it is nice . He also writes following films of Jean Yanne: Me y' has some to want under , the Chinese in Paris , Chobizenesse , I hold you, you hold me by the goatee . He will write also several televised series during the Seventies: Castle hope, men of Rose, the inspector …
Starting from 1971, it becomes stimulating high-speed motorboat of France Inter, radio for which it ensures the morning time slot and writes a daily tale that it reads the afternoon with the antenna. These texts, recited of a cordial voice, combine poetry, humor (sometimes black), and tenderness. Untiring worker and large smoker, it dies of a cancer the November 22nd 1977.
Its best tales, reflection of a universe drawing its inspiration in a going register of Molière to Salinger while passing by Marcel Proust and Ian Fleming, were published in two collections published by HB editions: Tales to dream and the Moth . A recent album comprising two CD of master originals moreover has just been published by Radio France, with in particular the Radioscopie of the Father Christmas where, playing the part of a Father Christmas to the rocky accent, he is interviewed by Jacques Chancel.
