Gerard Jarry is a Violoniste French, born the June 6th 1936 with Châtellerault and dead the January 18th 2004 with Saint-Éliph.
Prize winner of the first Grand Prix of the contest Length-Thibaud at the 14 years age, it will appear quickly like one of the largest French violonists of the 20th century.
In 1959, it founds the Trio with French cords, and in 1969, it joined like solo violin the Chamber orchestra Jean-François Paillard. It is with this orchestra, of which it formed part during thirty three years, that it records the great concertos baroques and traditional, of which the integral of the concertos of Jean-Marie Leclair realized in 1977 and crowned by several Grands Prix of the disc, those of the concertos of Mozart in 1976, of Bach in 1978…
Between 1984 and 2001, it is also First violin solo of the National orchestra of Ile-de-France.
He was professor with the Conservatoire higher national of Paris.
