Gerard D. Lévesque

Gerard D. Lévesque (May 2nd, 1926 in Quebec - November 22nd, 1993 in Quebec) was a Politician Québécois.

Native of Port-Daniel, it studies with the seminar of Gaspé and the Collège Jean-with-Brébeuf, then it is allowed with the Barreau of Quebec in 1949.

He is the liberal deputy of Bonaventure of 1956 with 1993, having been re-elected seven times. In the government of the liberal Robert Bourassa, he is in particular the Minister of Industry, then the Minister for justice.

Gerard D. Lévesque becomes the chief of the Opposition when Rene Lévesque is carried to the capacity on November 15th, 1976 in Quebec]. He directs then the Liberal party of Quebec in 1982 and 1983.

When Bourassa returns to the capacity in 1985, he is Minister for Finance. He dies in 1993.
