Gerard Blaize

Gerard Blaize (born the August 17th 1946 with Toulouse) is a French professor of Aïkido, Bo-jutsu and jodo.

It began the Judo and the aikido under the direction from Pierre Brousse.

It remained five years and half with the Japan where it studied the Aïkido with the Hombu Dōjō of Tōkyō in particular under the direction of Kisshomaru Ueshiba and of Seigo Yamagushi.

In 1975, it meets Michio Hikitsuchi. Since then, it did not cease being involved under its only councils. It receives, the April 26th 1995, the rank of 7th daN Aikikai de Tōkyō de Kisshomaru Ueshiba at the request of Hikitsuchi Michio. He becomes thus the first nonJapanese practitioner to obtain this very high rank. He animates about fifty club in France and a score in the world.
