Gerald van Maasakkers
Gerald van Maasakkers (born the March 26th 1949 with Nuenen) is a Chanteur Dutch of expression brabançonne.
Biography
During his studies of horticulturist and Landscape gardener, Gerald van Maasakkers invested himself always much in the music. He is chief of chorus and composes a Musical comedy, Plint .
As of the Seventies, it is one of the first chansonniers to knowing to attract a general public with the songs in regional language (in fact, the brabançon, dialect of the Dutch, spoken in the Brabant-Septentrional ). Its first disc Komt er sea in leaves in 1978 and meets one big hit with 15.000 sold specimens. From 1980, Gerald is devoted entirely to the music.
