Gerald Manley Hopkins

Gerald Manley Hopkins (1844 - 1889) was an English poet and a priest Jésuite. The son of an insurance agent, it studied humanities with the Balliol College of the Université of Oxford, where he becomes a believer of the Mouvement of Oxford and " the Church haute" Anglican. But into 1866, after a spiritual crisis, it converts with the Catholicisme. The year according to, he becomes a beginner Jesuit. It is ordered priest in 1877.
