Gerald Maurice Edelman , born on July 1st 1929, with New York, is director of the Institute of neurosciences to La Jolla, in California.

It received the Nobel Prize of medicine in 1972 (with Rodney Porter) for its research on the Anticorps (it establishes the developed formula of the gamma globulin).
