Geostrophic , of its complete name Geostrophic Jacotey , is a French Chanteuse born the August 21st 1984 with Ajaccio (Corse-du-Sud). It is in particular the interpreter of the title Me… Lolita , tube of the summer 2000.

Biography

Beginnings

Alizée passes all its childhood to Corsica, where it follows its first courses of dance as of the 4 years age. Its first incursion into the artistic field takes place at the 11 years age, when it gains the contest Dessine me a plane : its drawing is selected to be reproduced on an apparatus MANDELEVIUM 83 of company AOM). The album, heading My Electric currents… , still is very marked by the omnipresence of Mylène Farmer. It is it which writes all the titles, of which Laurent Boutonnat composes the musics, but it is also it which draws the behaviors of Geostrophic.

The album is success (approximately 400.000 specimens sold in France), which remains however lower than the success of Gourmandises . The clip of the second individual one, I am not twenty years old , announces the round to come, which begins the August 26th 2003 with one week with the Olympia, which posts complete. A last extract, With counter-current leaves in October, with the same course as its predecessor, while Alizée continues his round in France, Belgium and Switzerland. This one is completed the January 17th 2004, with the Zenith of Paris.

Years of silence

An album and a live DVD of the round are spent on sale in November 2004. Left without any promotion, the DVD is classified N°1 of the sales in France.

The media absence of Geostrophic has been then total for already a few months, and the young woman is pregnant. She gives rise to Anny-Lee the April 29th 2005 and puts her career between brackets, which does not prevent the Presse people from devoting some articles to him, the more so as the name of Geostrophic emerges, with others, among the false listings of the business Clearstream.

During 2006, the return of Geostrophic is then announced regularly in the community of its fans, in particular in collaboration with the group Indo-China. However, it should be waited August 2007 so that this return is profiled indeed, when Alizée leaves Universal to sign at RCA (Sony BMG). Meanwhile, Alizée became a star in Mexico where its album In concert , in a version CD + DVD reached the highest places of the charts and titrates it Me… Lolita was given in light thanks to the version of Julien Doré in the emission Nouvelle Star then into individual.

After Mylène Farmer

Shortly after the advertisement of its change of recording company, a title, Fifty Sixty , circulates on Internet, confirming a close return, in which take part Jérémy Chatelain, Jean Fauque or Daniel Darc. In parallel, a buzz is created around Alizée, in connection with one of the songs of its album in preparation. Indeed, in a song, it would draw up a not very flattering portrait of its old producing. This information is contradicted the September 11th 2007, when the new official site of the singer is brought into service. This one also announces the exit of the album Psychédélices and the choice of Miss Juliette like first individual, who is introduced into radio operator the September 27th 2007. The new album is announced for the December 3rd, whereas the clip of the first individual Miss Juliette is as for him displayable starting from the November 19th.
