Georgius Calixtus
Georgius Calixtus or Calisen (born the December 14th 1586 with Medelby, Schleswig, in the Holstein Germany; died the March 19th 1656 with Helmstedt), theologist Luthér IEN
He was professor of Théologie to Helmstedt. The duke Frederic Guillaume Ier de Brandebourg attracted it near him; the duke Auguste named it abbot of Kœnigslutter. At the request of the voter of Brandebourg, it went to the Colloque of Torun, convened in 1645 to operate the meeting of the reformed Lutherans and others; but its eloquence was there without success. This theologist gave his name to a sect which believed capacity to reconcile all the opinions and which one named for this reason Syncrétiste S.
