Georgios Koundouriotis
Georgios Koundouriotis (in Greek modern: Γεωργιος Κουντουριώτης ) (1782 - 1858) was a hero of the Guerre of Greek independence and a Greek politician . He was Prime Minister in 1848.
He was originating in Hydra. Ship-owner, it put his fortune and his ships at the service of the national cause. He was member, then president of the National committee at the beginning of the war of indépendance.
He took part in the government of Ioannis Kapodistrias
He was member of the “left French” during the reign Othon {{Ier}}.
His/her small son was Pavlos Koundouriotis, admiral and President of the Greek Republic.
