Georgi Georgiev

Georgi Georgiev , born on January 30th, 1976, is a Bulgarian Judo ka evolving/moving in the category of less than 73 kg (or light weights). It begins its career in the category of less than 66 kg (semi-light weights) while appearing in the fifth place at the time of the championships of Europe juniors in 1996. Seventh with the Euro 1999, he becomes vice military world champion later a few months. The Bulgarian one obtains its first major international medal by taking down the bronze medal with the championships of Europe in 2000 with Wrocław. Multiplying the places of honor at the continental level, it obtains only one military world title before taking part in the Olympic Games of Athens in 2004. At the time of the competition, it is eliminated only in semi-final by the future Olympic champion Masato Uchishiba. Thanks to its victory at the time of the match for the third place, it obtains the bronze medal, one of the twelve rewards obtained by the delegation blugare at the time of these Plays. In 2007, whereas it evolves/moves from now on in the higher category of weight (- 73 kg), it obtains a third bronze medal with the championships of Europe.
