Georges de Mestral
George de Mestral born on June 19th, 1907 with Nyon, deceased on February 8th, 1990 with Commugny, was an engineer Suisse who lived with Aubonne.
He is the inventor of closing Velcro.
Biography

The idea of Velcro
- After each walk with its dog, it was to remove small balls (seeds of Bardane) which are clutched with its pullover and with the fur of its dog. It observed them under the microscope.
