Georges Schwizgebel

Georges Schwizgebel is an organizer of Cinéma of animation Suisse, born in 1944 with Reconvilier, in the the Bernese Jura. It is one of the great figures of the cinema of Suisse animation.

Biography

It follows 1960 to 1965, the section graphics of the École of the Art schools and Art-Decorative of Geneva.

It creates in 1971, the studio of animation Studio GDS with Claude Luyet and Daniel Suter, which produces work of orders and work personal.

Its works were several times preceded in various festivals of the world. Different rétrospectibes was presented to Nuremberg, Stuttgart, Tokyo, Ōsaka, Paris and New York.

It receives the Price of the Swiss cinema in 2002, for the Young girl and the Clouds.
