Georges Prêtre is a Leader French, born the August 14th 1924 with Waziers.
Biography
After having made its musical studies with the Conservatory of Douai then to the Conservatory of Paris, it makes its beginnings in 1946 with the Opéra of Marseilles, before entering in 1956 to the Op3era Comique. He becomes chief with the Opéra Garnier, where he remains until 1963. In addition, it directs alternatively the majority of the American full orchestras, like that of La Scala of Milan. He is the Leader preferred of Maria Callas. He continues his career while directing the international full orchestras, of the Philharmonic orchestra of Vienna to the Orchestra of the SPOKE of Turin. He was named Commandeur of the Légion of honor.
He will be the leader for the concert of the New year 2008 in Vienna, Austria.
