Georges Poitou
Georges Poitou (February 11th 1926 - December 14th 1989) is a mathematician French. One owes him in particular the exact Suite of Poitou-Touches in Cohomologie galoisienne, and an important contribution to the arithmetic first Journées.
He was the senior of the Faculty of Science of Orsay of 1968 to 1970 (where a way bears its name now) and the director of the National university of the street of Ulm of 1981 (succeeding Jean Bousquet) with its death.
