Georges Lanfry

Georges Lanfry (1884 - 1969), is a Archéologue and Norman contractor.

Biography

After studies of architecture to the school of the Art schools of Rouen, it repurchases in 1921 the company Baron, located at Déville-the-Rouen in the old country house of the father of Gustave Flaubert. It takes part in the restoration of many buildings and historic buildings of which the Cathédrale Notre-Dame of Rouen in which he becomes a specialist. It takes part in discovered of a Romance Crypte inside this one in 1951.

He is President of the National federation of the building of 1945 to 1950 and chair Chamber of commerce and of industry of Rouen of 1958 to 1962.

A Training center of apprentices of the Construction industry of Rouen bears its name.
