Georges Jamet , born the November 29th 1926 with Saint-Malo is a painter viroflaysien.

Georges Jamet was born with Saint-Malo the November 29th 1926. He carries out his studies at the school of the brothers of Saint-Malo, then with the college of Saint-Malo. He continues his formation at the Professional Catholic Institute of Nantes.He makes then career in industry and public works. He will be in particular during several years designer in draftsmanship.
He takes his retirement the March 20th 1983.
Its work
Georges Jamet starts to paint very young person, as of approximately the 12 years age. At 20 years, it launches out in photography, not very widespread activity at the time. It buys an enlarger and develops itself its photographs. One owes him in particular a series of stereotypes of the rebuilding of the locks with Saint-Malo.But it is starting from its retirement, in 1983, which it really devotes to painting. Between 1983 and 2006, it paints or draws more than 650 original works.

The artist
Georges Jamet is a landscape designer working almost always on the site. He draws with the feather, with the Indian ink, or he paints with the Aquarelle.He generally chooses his subjects for their historical motivation or their strange urban character. Its goal is to encourage the walker with dawdlings out of the tourist main roads.
It carried out several albums of pen-and-ink drawings: Viroflay, Paris, Bercy.
He is member of the Companions Artists of the Plain of Versailles.

Georges Jamet is interested of close with the History of Paris. He illustrates the cover of end-of-term reports of association " History of the 3rd district of Paris" (deposited with the historical Library of the town of Paris).
