Georges Habache

Georges Habache (rear RTL جورجحبش), from his name of war Al-Hakim rear RTL الحكيم was born the August 2nd 1926 in the town of Lydda (current Lod in Israel) is a Palestinian politician, founder and former general secretary of the Liberation popular front of Palestine (PFLP).

Its youth

Georges Habache was born in the Palestinian city from Lydda. He is resulting from a family of orthodoxe Greek tradesmen . He makes part of his secondary studies in Jerusalem then leaves Palestine to go to make his studies of medicine to the American Université of Beirut. In 1948, its family is expelled of Palestine during the Israeli-Arab war by the Haganah. Turning over towards Lydda to see what occurs, it is found in the middle of Palestinian which seeks to take refuge and it starts to carry help to the casualties.

It resumes its studies of medicine at the American University of Beyrouth.Il founds with Hani el Hindi the Phalanges of the Sacrifice , a group dedicated to the clandestine action against the Arab leaders who show themselves reconciling with Israel. It is graduate in 1951 and leaves in the refugee camps to Amman in Jordan to open a private clinic there. It founds the same year the Arab Nationalist movement with Constantin Zureik, Hani el-Hindi and Wadie Haddad. It is about a socialist party, , nationalist and panarabe, strongly influenced by the Nassérisme, and the purpose of which is the unification of the Arab world. In 1952, it creates the Organization to be opposed to peace with Israel . In 1955, it also publishes with Wadie Haddad the review Al Spoke . This review will be prohibited a few months more tars. The review reappears in Damas by young Palestinian writer Ghassan Kanafani and which will make its success.

It is implied in 1957 in an coup attempt of state against the king Hussein of Jordan with certain frameworks of the Jordanian Republican guard. At the time of the creation of the United Arab Republic, he flees towards Damas but Haddad is made stop and condemn to three years of prison.

The Liberation popular front of Palestine
