Georges Fenech

Georges Vincent Antoine Fenech , French politician, born the October 26th 1954 with Sousse (Tunisia).

His/her Fortunate father Fenech, of Maltese origin , managed a farm of 300 hectares olive-trees with Sousse with his Edouard brother with Tunis. In 1963 the family is repatriated in France and it buys with Givors a restoring bar which was called the “coffee of peace”.

His/her mother (Marie Anne Stalio) was Italian of Tunis, it was a long time singer in Lyon. Georges Fenech known as of it “ It is reserved, refined, not very expansive, it is not Marthe Villalonga …”. He has two sisters and a half-sister. The elder one is educational psychologist with Valence, second with the college of Marcy the star is law professor, and third is married with a footballer of the OL.

He studies with the Lycée Ponsard with Vienna and Parc Chabrières with Oullins, and obtains a control of right to the Faculty of Law Jean Moulin with Lyon. He is exempted for company names, and between with the National school of the magistrature (ENM).

He exerts his role of magistrate in several parquet floors since 1980. He was also examining magistrate of 1984 to 1994. In 1992, it returns a nonsuit in 1992 within the framework of the assassination of the judge François Renaud.

He is president of the Professional association of the magistrates (APM) of 1996 to 1998, union of magistrate which asserts itself apolitical although clearly anchored on the right.

He is elected appointed the June 16th 2002, for XIIe legislature (2002 - 2007), in the district of the the Rhone (11th). He belongs to the group UMP.

He takes part as from December 2005 in the parliamentary board of inquiry concerning the Affaire of Outreau criticizing the function of the examining magistrate.

Mr. Fenech used his role in the mission of fight against the sects to try to discredit the party France in Action (by calculating the influence of sects on this atypical party) right before the legislative ones of June 2007. It seems unfortunately that this declaration bore its fruits since the results of this party were not even commented on although considerable.

He is re-elected Député the June 16th 2007, for XIIIe legislature (2007 - 2012), in the district of the the Rhone (11th). He belongs to the group UMP.

He announced the October 5th 2007 which he would lead a list to the municipal elections of March 2008 to Givors (the Rhone).

Tolerance zero

Georges Fenech is a burning defender of the concept of “tolerance zero”, inspired by the policy of the mayor of New York, Rudolph Giuliani. He is even the author of a book which carries this title. The principle is simple: no act of delinquency could remain unpunished.

Georges Fenech is put in examination in July 2001 within the framework of one of the shutters of the Affaire Falcone (Affaire of the sales of weapons in Angola). In 1997, the APM had accepted the payment of 100.000 francs (15 200 euros) by the company of sale of weapons Brenco International directed by Pierre Falcone. The parquet floor of Paris required the reference in front of the magistrates' court of forty people, of which Georges Fenech, but also Charles Pasqua and Jean-Christophe Mitterrand. The two main characters of this file, Pierre Falcone and Arcadi Gaydamak, are aimed by a mandate of international stop, in particular for " illicit trade of armes". The lawsuit could then take place in the current of the year 2008.

Racial insults

Georges Fenech was also condemned without sorrow for “racial public insults” for the racist Calembour of Alain Terrail in the review of the APM. (“ As well goes Levy to the furnace, as at the end it burns ” in connection with the substitute of Toulon Albert Levy, which fought against the of the department of Var organized crime)

Georges Fenech had to pronounce in December 1998 the dissolution of the Professional association of the magistrates (APM). Georges Fenech will found a new trade union whose he will assume the presidency, the Trade union independent of the magistrates.

The author of the writings, Alain Terrail, former prosecuting attorney close the Court of appeal and honorary president of the APM, will be placed at the retirement of office and will be condemned to a fine for racial insults. Prevented as a director of the publication, Georges Fenech will be also recognized guilty of “racial public insults” but it will be exempted of sorrow.

Gabonese elections

Georges Fenech, as a president of “the International association for the democracy” goes to Gabon, in company of twelve others deputy French, magistrates and lawyers, to supervise the good progress of the presidential election which takes place on December 6th, 1998.

This mission, entirely financed by the Gabonese State, intervenes on the initiative of Parisian lawyer and man of influence Robert Bourgui which maintains near the Gabonese president Omar Bongo the very close links, which will make weigh on the mission of observation of strong suspicions of partiality.

The report/ratio of this French delegation, whose press will receive a copy, has concluded very favorably on the Gabonese poll having led to the re-election from Omar Bongo, with the capacity for 31 years.

These two businesses will cost Georges Fenech his nomination at the station of first examining magistrate in Paris for which it was had a presentiment of.
