Baron Georges Felix de Wimpffen (born the November 5th 1744 with Double-decker - 1814). General.
Leaves with distinction the Guerre independence the United States of America, then elected in 1789 by the nobility of Caen to the General states, it plays there a big role in the reorganization of the army. In 1792, it is named ordering place of Thionville, which it defends successfully against the Prussians.
Transferred to the Armed with the coasts of Cherbourg in 1793, it joint with the Of Gironde gathered in Caen and becomes ordering federalistic army. After the defeat of this one with Brécourt, it is withdrawn in its grounds in Normandy, it is not worried there during the Terreur.
Named major general by the Directory, he is general inspector of the stud farms under the Empire.
