Georges Duval

Georges Duval is a dramatic author French, born in 1777 with Valognes, died in 1853.

He was head clerk to the ministry for the interior. He worked especially for the small theaters and gave 70 parts, of which several had the vogue, inter alia:

  • Mr. Vautour, or the Owner under the seals , 1805
  • the Return to the counter or moved Education , 1808
  • One Day in Versailles
  • the Discrete one in spite of him , comedy in 3 acts, 1814
  • Werther or Mislayings of a sensitive heart , 1817, spiritual parody of the novel of Goethe
  • the Husband impromptu, or the English Habit , in 3 acts, 1836.
