Georges Dandelot

Georges Dandelot (born the December 2nd 1895 with Paris - died the August 17th 1975 with Saint-Georges-with-Didonne) is a Compositeur and Pédagogue French.

Biography

Wire of Arthur and Madeleine Dandelot, it receives the musical teaching of his parents before entering, at the ten years age, the Conservatoire of Paris where it follows the courses of Emile Schwartz, Louis Diémer, Xavier Leroux, Jean Gallon, Georges Caussade, Charles-Marie Widor, Vincent D' Indy, Maurice Emmanuel, Paul Dukas and Albert Roussel.

It is named professor of harmony to the teacher training school of music of Paris in 1919 then with the Academy in 1942 when it has inter alia as pupils Paul Méfano or André Boucourechliev.

He is the author of many teaching works of reference, always largely used for the teaching of the Solfège in the music schools and academies.
