Georges Acropolite
Georges Acropolite or Akropolitès (1217-1282) was a historian and diplomatic Byzantine.
Born and died in Constantinople, it was large Iogothète under the emperors Theodore Lascaris and Michel Paléologue. It tried to join together the Churches Greek and Latin and even the schism with the Concile of Lyon in 1264 abjured, but it was disapproved by its Master.
He is author of a Chronique Greek empire , which goes since the Prise of Constantinople by Latin until the resumption of this city by Michel Paléologue (1204 - 1261), and which belongs to the Byzantine .
