George Nares

The Admiral Sir George Strong Nares (April 24th 1831January 15th 1915) was an officer of the Royal Navy and explorer of the Arctique

Its name given to the strait enters the Greenland and the island of Ellesmere (Canadian Arctic Archipel), the Détroit of Nares.

He also surveyed the Magellan Strait and several hirings in Australia.
