George Leonard Jenyns

George Leonard Jenyns is a man of the church, born the June 19th 1763 and died in 1848. He is vicar of Swaffham Prior in the Cambridgeshire of 1787 with 1848 then Chanoine of Ely of 1802 with 1848. In 1787, it makes a considerable heritage of his/her cousin Soame Jenyns (1704-1787) and in particular of Bottisham Hall to Bottisham.

In 1788, it Marie with Mary Heberden (1763-1832), the girl of the famous doctor William Heberden (1710-1801), union from which will be born:

  • Soame Jenyns (deceased at the 14 years age) -
  • Mary Jenyns (1790-1858)
  • George Jenyns (1795-1878) which Marie with the girl of the first Gambian baron (1756-1833)
  • Charles Jenyns (1798-1887)
  • Leonard Jenyns (1800-1893), naturalist,
  • Elizabeth Jenyns
  • Harriet Jenyns (1797-1857) which Marie with the botanist John Stevens Henslow (1795-1861).
