George Digby (February 22nd 1612 - May 20th 1677), 2nd Count de Bristol, was an English politician, wire of John Digby.

It had initially appeared among the adversaries of Charles Ier of England. Attacked by those of its party to have refused to vote the bill attainder , it passed in the opposite party and became one of the most impetuous royalists. It attacked disastrous the royal cause, which it believed to serve, by advising in Charles Ier the arrest of six marked members of the Parliament of high treason. After having carried the weapons for the defense of Charles Ier, it supported, under its successor, the project to restore the Catholic religion and went by there so odious that it was obliged to escape.
