Georg Friedrich Treitschke

Georg Friedrich Treitschke was a German Entomologiste , born with Leipzig in 1776 and died with Vienna in 1842. It finished the treaty on the butterflies of Europe Die Schmetterlinge von Europa started with Ferdinand Ochsenheimer (1767-1822).

It is also known to have been the director of the theater of Vienna. Poet, one owes him of many booklets of opera. Translator, it adapted in German of the French operas. Friend of Ludwig van Beethoven, it revised in 1814 the booklet of his opera Fidelio.
