Georg Friedrich Rebmann

Andreas-Georg-Friedrich Rebmann (born November 14th 1768 á Sugenheim - died September 16th 1824 á Wiesbaden), republican and German Judge.

He published in particular in 1794 a translation of the speech of Robespierre of the 27. brumaire year II on the political situation of the French Republic:

New proclamation of Republic Frenchwoman to all the people of the world.

Man of Jurisprudence S, it studied á Iéna, where he also heard Friedrich von Schiller. By the Directoire French he was judge with Mainz and be charged higher president of the Administrative court of call (France) á Deux-Ponts. Georg Rebmann was one of the friend of committed German á the French revolution, and, by him it inspires, attacked, the political relations existing in Germany with journalistic work such brilliances like Das neue graue Ungeheuer (1795) and Die Schildwache (1796). It defended the Jacobins mayençais with passion, and thus drew the hatred of the reaction to him.

It charges Jean Buckler (), known as Schinderhannes , chief of a band of Chauffeurs, with the Law courts of Mainz, the Hôtel of Stadion, before its execution on the Guillotine in company of 19 accomplices the November 21st 1803.
