Geography of Yemen

Situation: Yemen occupies the south of the Arabic Péninsule. It is surrounded in the west by the Red Sea, in the south by the Golfe of Aden and the Mer of Oman (or sea of Arabia), in the east by the Sultanate of Oman and in north by the Royaume of Saudi Arabia. A few kilometers only separate it from Djibouti and the Érythrée.

Yemen belongs to the 15 States of the regional unit commonly called the " cradle of Humanité".

Environment - international agreements: The Yemeni authorities began in the Biodiversité, signed the Traité complete prohibition of the nuclear tests (September 30th 1996, but not ratified) and the Protocole of Montreal.

Géostratégie: Its geographical position of Yemen in fact an area of the Strategic world coveted because (in particular at the point of passage in the gulf of Aden, high place of traffic and monitoring of the American and Western navy).
