Geography of Grenade

Grenade is a country made up of the principal island, Grenade, and of some islands of the Grenadian . These islands are located in the the Antilles at the north of Trinity-and-Tobago at approximately 200 km of the coasts vénézuéliennes.

Island of Grenade

The island is approximately 34 km long for 18 km broad. It is of volcanic origin what explains the many reliefs of its territory. The culminating point of the island is the Mount Holy-Catherine (840m). One notes the presence of a Lac of crater to 500m of altitude, the Grand Pond, as in the island of the Dominique.

Climate

It is about a climate of the tropical type, characterized by one season dries energy from January to April and a rain season going from June to November. At the time of the rain season, one counts on average 22 days of rains per month with Saint-Georges, the capital (12 in season dries).

The temperatures are about 24 to 29 °C in January, and from 25 to 30 °C in July.
