Geography of Belgium
The Belgium is a country of Western Europe having a common border with the Netherlands, the Germany, the France and the Luxembourg. It is bordered in the North-West by the the North Sea. It is stretched on a distance of 318 kilometers between Ostend and Arlon.

Relief
The relief of Belgium marks a clear distinction between the north and the south of the country. Whereas north (Flemish Area) is primarily made up of plains not exceeding 100 m of altitude, the south (Walloon region) is characterized by a relief more accentuated, from the presence on its territory of the Massif inhabitant of the Ardennes. This one primarily develops in the south of the Sillon industrial, and regularly reached altitudes of more than 500 m, going up to 694 m with the Signal of Botrange, the point highest of the territory.
Climate
The climate is soft, moderate and wet there, with average temperatures of 25 °C in summer and 7,2 °C in winter. The extreme temperatures are -30.1 °C and +37,8 °C. Average precipitations are of 780mm per annum.In winter, the Ardennes are marked by a more abundant snow, resulting from colder temperatures.
The extreme south of the country, in Gaume, a Microclimat generally makes it possible the area to post an higher temperature in the close Ardennes.
Natural areas
Belgium is traditionally divided into Low-Belgium, Average-Belgium and High-Belgium, according to altitude.Low-Belgium, in North, is made up of sandy or sablo-muddy grounds (Dune S, Polder S, Flanders, Campine). Average-Belgium includes/understands of West Is the muddy areas hennuyères, brabançonne and the Hesbaye. High-Belgium, in the south of the furrow Sambre and Meuse, is composed of the Condroz, the Fagne-Famenne, the Pays of Herve, the Ardenne and the Gaume (or Lorraine Belgian).
The Belgian beach
The Belgian beach of the North Sea extends on 67 km. It reaches at certain places more than 500 meters from broad to low tide. It is about a uniform sand beach end, without rollers, nor rocks. On many beaches, one finds Break-blade S.
