Geoffroy de Charnay (1251 - 1314) was Précepteur of the Ordre of the Temple for the Normandy. It was delivered to the flames of roughing-hew on the island from the City in Paris the March 18th 1314 in company of Jacques de Molay.
It spent approximately 18 years within the Order of the Temple and occupied successively of the important functions within the order. In 1283, he is tutor with Fresnes, in 1294 with the commandery of Villemoison, in 1295 with the commandery of Fretay, and finally in 1307, he becomes tutor for all Normandy.
