Geoffroy Grenonat

Geoffroy Grenonat ( i.e the Man with a moustache ) count of Rennes of 1066 with 1084.

Wire illegitimate of Alain III of Brittany it obtains the county of Rennes with died of Conan II with the detriment of the heiress legitimates Havoise of Brittany.

In 1075 it joint with the revolt of Éon Ier de Penthièvre against Hoël of Cornwall, the husband of Havoise. Two years after, in 1077, it makes reinforce the enclosing wall with the city of Rennes.

Besieged and taken in Rennes by Alain Fergent at the beginning of its reign, it is sent to Quimper where it dies the same year 1084.

According to certain old sources, Geoffroi Grenonat would have married Berthe - sometimes regarded as a girl of Riwallon de Dol - of which it would have had a son, Eudes, which one does not know the destiny.
