Gentian

Gentiane is the common noun of species belonging to the kind Gentiana or Gentianella , of the family of the Gentianacées ( Gentianaceae ). The gentians belong above all to the wild world, but certain species are cultivated for their flowers in the shape of trumpet which are generally of an inimitable blue color. Other species of bigger size have flowers of yellow color.
Protection
It is always good to recall that many gentians are protected in many areas from France and that their gathering and even more their pulling up is prohibited.

Note:: the yellow gentian cannot be confused with the veratrum ( Veratrum ) at the time of the flowers (first being yellow the second white ones) but, apart from flowering. Attention the veratrum is a violent poison (to observe the provision of the sheets then: opposed for the gentian, and alternate for the veratrum).
