Genovés

Genovés is a municipality of the autonomous Communauté of Valence (Spain), located in the Comarque of the Costera.

Geography

Since Valence, one reaches this locality while following A-7 Spanish, then N-340 and finally the CV-610.

The municipal territory of Genovés is close to that of the following communes: Barxeta, Benigánim, Xàtiva and Llocnou of In Fenollet, all located in the Province of Valence.

History

Genovés was a Arab Métairie, then attached to Xàtiva since the reconquest of the territory by Jacques Ier d' Aragon until in 1712. It was instituted in municipality at the beginning of the XIXe Century.
